West Herts Clinical Supervision case study published
The challenge facing West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust was how to provide a safe space for its team of 1800 nurses to receive clinical supervision. NHS Elect and West Herts have worked in partnership to develop an externally devised and delivered award-winning clinical supervision programme for the nursing team, focused not only on professional development, but also on personal support and growth.
NHS Elect and West Herts have succeeded in creating an approach that is not only having a positive impact for nurses and the organisation but is helping to overcome a culture of cynicism about clinical supervision that had grown up in preceding years. West Herts invited to present at IHI Forum
West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and NHS Elect, were delighted to be invited to present at the Institute for HealthCare Improvement (IHI) Forum, in December 2022. For more than 30 years, the IHI has used improvement science to advance and sustain better outcomes in health and health care across the world, working in collaboration with the IHI community globally to spark bold, inventive ways to improve the health of individuals and populations.
Nursing Times Workforce Awards Finalists
In November 2021, we were delighted when our work at West Herts was shortlisted for a Nursing Times Workforce Award, in the category for “Best Wellbeing and Staff Engagement Initiative”.
